Irfan Shirwani is the Chief Technical Officer at ABIBL and is currently heading Placement and Claims departments for all commercial lines of business.
Servicing and Technical Support is the key differentiator for a consultative setup like ABIBL. Irfan is responsible for providing end to end technical support to business team for business procurement as well as in building overall servicing capabilities of ABIBL to provide Industry best customer experience in claims and other policy related services. At ABIBL Irfan has been instrumental in building technical capabilities in providing consultative advice to customers in complex risks and claims situations. Irfan is also driving key automation projects in ABIBL along with technology team to enhance end to end customer journey and service experience.
Irfan has done his B.E. Mechanical from NIT Srinagar and is a Fellow member of the Insurance Institute of India. He has got diverse work experience of 20 years mainly in the General Insurance sector in the areas of underwriting and claims. Prior to ABIBL, Irfan has worked with ICICI Lombard General Insurance Company Ltd in the capacity of Vice President - Commercial Claims, heading Property, Engineering and Marine claims. At ICICI Lombard, Irfan undertook various automation projects & other initiatives to enhance customer experience in claims and ensure best claim servicing at the industry level.
