Ajay Prabhu is the head of Retail vertical at ABIBL. He provides strategic direction to the Retail business through robust business development initiatives, market research and planning, business operationalization, forging strategic partnerships and customer acquisition initiatives while creating a superior value proposition. He also drives innovation through differentiated product constructs and is responsible for the overall growth of the digital and other avenues for the retail vertical.
Ajay has vast experience in sales and marketing in various industries and customer segments across the corporate sector. He believes in being at the centre of his customer segments to know the pulse of his customers. His key strength is in understanding customer requirements and creating customised solutions which are best practices in the industry.
This has enabled him to deliver consistent results in generating new businesses and establishing long lasting client relationships. He also has deep understanding of retail/corporate/distribution businesses including Corporate , OEM, POM and digital channels.
His expertise includes Sales Strategy- managing P&L, planning & execution, team building, maintaining strong client relations and negotiating skills. Prior to Aditya Birla Insurance Brokers Ltd., Ajay was a part of Aditya Birla Sun Life Insurance Company Ltd. since 2006 and was the head of the entire Direct vertical - Group Business managing corporates across various segments like MNCs, PSUs and private companies.
